Hello again! Are you ready for another look at the Softly Stippled DSP along with a look at the Softly Sophisticated Bundle? If you saw my CASE-ing Tuesday project this morning, you saw that I used the DSP on my cased card for the week. If you missed it, just head over here to take a look at my card. And if it inspires you to play along with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group, even better! Were you able to catch my Facebook Live this morning to see my other projects? If not, you can watch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here.
Let’s take a look at our first card:
As I have said before, I really am not a fan of Wild Wheat, but it pairs so well with Lost Lagoon! This is the same sheet of DSP I used on my CASE-ing Tuesday card. I layered it on my card base with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive to start. This bundle consists of the stamp set and a 3D Embossing Folder, that we’ll look at on the next two cards. There are 2 two-step images and this is one of them. I stamped my leaves in Pebbled Path ink and then the flowers and sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink. I should have stamped my sentiment first, which is what I did in the video, so that it centers the image better. Oh well! Learning curve! lol Plus, I learned that it is easier for me to stamp the flowers first and then the leaves as it makes it easier to see where to place the leaves. Once it was samped, I add it to the Pebbled Path layer with Seal and then to the card front with dimensionals. I added a bow in the Wild Wheat Jute Trim to bring in more of the Wild Wheat color. The jute trim is heaver than regular twine or Linen Thread, so you should add at least two Mini Glue Dots to secure it. Then I sprinkled on some of the 2023/2025 In Color Dots for my bling.
For int inside, I added the DSP strip towards the bottom and then stamped my sentiment in Lost Lagoon.
And why not tie it all together by adding that beautiful DSP to the envelope flap? Remember, no naked envelopes!
Up next, card number 2:
I started by embossing my white layer with the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder and then attaching it to the card base with Seal and then added the DSP strip. I die cut the label from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I stamped the sentiment in Wild Wheat all the way to the right to accomodate my flower layer and then added the label with dimensionals. I stamped my flowers in Lost Lagoon and then the leaves in Wild Wheat ink. I used my Snips to fussy cut it out and added it to the label with a Mini Glue Dot at the base and a dimensional at the top to secure it. This way it keeps the flowers and the label flush and stable. I wanted to bring in more of the Lost Lagoon, so I added a bow in the Lost Lagoon Border Ribbon and added it with a Mini Glue Dot, and of course, more of the In Color Dots for bling.
For the inside, I added the strip at the side of my layerwith plenty of room formy stamped sentiment. I then attached it with Seal to the inside.
For the envelope, I repeated the flower from the front of the card to the front of the envelope.
And now our last card for the day:
For this card I played with the new Stampin’ Glass Mat and our Water Painters.
I started by adding a couple of drops of ink from the Pool Party and Wild Wheat reinkers in the wells on the Silicone Mat. I took my Water Painter and added a couple of drops of water to the ink and first did a wash of Wild Wheat and then Pool Party above that, being careful not to blend the two colors. And I did clean my brush between colors. I set that aside to dry, but you could always use your Heat Tool if you’re in a hurry. The wonderful part of the Silicone Mat, is it doesn’t stain!! While that layer was drying, I added my embossed layer to the card front. I then stamped my washed layer with the flowers (the other two-step image). Then I took my Wild Wheat Stampin’ Write Marker and used the brush end and cap to flick on some of the ink across the washed area. I layered this onto the Pebbled Path layer and wrapped some of the Pebbled Path Jute around it and tied the bow at the left. The layer was then added with dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment in Pebbled Path on the label that was die cut from the Something Fancy Dies and added it with dimensioanls over the twine. I added the In Color Dots in Pebbled Path for bling.
For the inside, I decided not to stamp a sentiment, but I did stamp the leaves and flowers in Pebbled Path ink.
For my envelope I just stamped the sentiment on the flap just to keep it simple.
