Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I am so excited to share a sneak peek of some new product that will be available for purchase starting tomorrow. And not only is the new July-Dec Mini Catalog launching (a month later due to global shipping issues), but it’s also the launch of our SECOND Sale-a-bration!! Woo hoo!! We have never had TWO Sale-a-brations in a year before, so it’s super exciting!! I think having a second Sale-a-bration is something we all needed! After all, with everything we have endured the last 18 months or so, we deserve to have something to sale-abrate. right? For those that don’t know what Sale-a-bration is, it is a sale through Stampin’ Up! that has exclusive free products you can earn with every $50.00 purchase. We always love to get FREE stuff!! And to coincide with the holiday catalog is just bonus! You know we always love getting all those holiday goodies, so earning those free items is just icing on the cake!!! So let’s take a look at today’s card created with some of the new holiday items:
I just love non-traditional Christmas colors for cards and Stampin’ Up! hit it out of the park with the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP! It’s got lots of pastels and the foil has a holographic feel to it. Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 8 12/” x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Crumb Cake cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed
- Polished Pink cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
- Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP cut at 3″ x 4″ and 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ for the inside
- Basic White cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ for the inside
I used the new Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the Crumb Cake layer. This is going to be a popular folder for not only Christmas, but for birthday cards too. After I embossed my layer, I added it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal adhesive. I then added my piece of DSP to the Polished Pink layer with more seal and then to the card front with dimensionals. I cut my scrap of Basic White with one of the label dies from the Scalloped Contour Die set and stamped my sentiment from the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. It has the cutest fonts for all those fun Christmas sentiments! I added some more seal on the back of the label and added some of that gorgeous Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon. To create the zig zag effect, I added about three strips of the adhesive and just pressed the ribbon down. I then added dimensionals and added it to the card front. I then added some of the Polished Pink In Color Gems for my bling.
I just love how it all coordinates! It makes creating so much fun when you don’t have to keep looking for that perfect embellishment! For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink again. I thought the way the sentiment was printed it had that vintage feel to it and needed to be stamped at an angle. I added the little piece of the DSP to the top, attached both to the Polished Pink layer and then to the inside of the card.
And don’t forget to decorate you envelope, even if it is just to stamp a sentiment on the flap. It really does bring the whole project together.
I really think this sentiment stamp set is going to be popular! And when you pair that with some paper and an embellishment, you can qualify for FREE item out of the Sale-a-bration Catalog! Not only do you get free items when shopping, but the very best deal in the Annual Catalog, the Starter Kit, gets even better! It’s always the best deal by starting off at 20% off, (choose $125.00 in product and only pay $99.00 plus tax and FREE shipping) but during Sale-a-bration, you also get to choose one of the selected bundles from the July-December Mini Catalog for FREE!!!
