Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! Are you ready for a sneak peek of some upcoming product from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog? I created three projects this morning on my Facebook Live and if you missed it, you can watch the replay here. I wanted to showcase the Gilded Autumn Suite and can I just say that I absolutely love every piece of this suite?!?

And I even created a box!!! lol But I think it turned out pretty good. That paper is just so gorgeous that it’s perfect for every aspect of paper crafting! Let’s look at the cards first.

The measurements for this card are:

  • card base in Early Espresso cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Mint Macaron cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder
  • Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP cut at 2″ x 5 1/4″
  • Very Vanilla cardstock for the inside layer cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″

I started by embossing the Mint Macaron layer and then glued the DSP to bottom edge. I cut a piece of the Copper Metallic Ribbon and added it at the seam of the DSP. This is where our new Stampin’ Seal works really good. You can add your adhesive to the back of the cardstock and adhere your piece ribbon rather then wrapping it around. Saves you a lot of ribbon that way! Next I cut the label from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set in Very Vanilla. I stamped the longer leaf in Mint Macaron, stamping off first, and then the sentiment in Cajun Craze. If you have ever seen any of my cards, you know I love this 2-step stamping! I added that to the card front with dimensionals. Then I cut another piece of the ribbon and created a knot just to the left of my label. For the bling, I colored some of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my Dark Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends to create a copper/bronze look to them. I love creating coordinating rhinestones for my projects!!

For the inside layer, I stamped a couple of the leaves in Mint Macaron and Cajun Craze, stamping off first, on the lower left corner. For the sentiment, I repeated the 2-step look using the long leaf in stamped off Mint Macaron and the sentiment in Cajun Craze.

I just love the look of this inside layer. Simple, but pretty.

Measurements for our fun fold card:

  • Card base in Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″, trim off one side at 2 3/4″ and save for the flap
  • Very Vanilla cardstock for the inside layer cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 3/4″ x 3″ for the sentiment tag
  • 2 pieces of the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP cit at 2 1/2″ x 4″
  • Brushed Metallic Foil in bronze cut at 1″ x 3 1/4″

I think this has got to be one of my favorite fun fold patterns! It’s so easy and looks so special! After I trimmed the flap layer off, I glued one piece of the DSP to the flap that folds over on the card and the other on the piece that creates the flap at the opening. I added a piece of the Mint Macaron Basket Weave ribbon just like I did in the above card by adding some adhesive on the just the left side of the flap, and the adhered the flap to the card front. For the sentiment, I stamped it in Early Espresso ink and then flagged it with the new Banners Pick a Punch that will be available in the Mini Catalog next week. I then flagged the foil strip and glued them together. I added dimensionals just to the right side and adhered it down with the left side over the ribbon. This suite comes with 3 small punches that coordinate with the DSP and the stamp set, so I punched out a leaf and an acorn from the DSP and added them with Mini Glue Dots at the edge of the sentiment. I colored another rhinestone and added it to the embellishments.

For the inside layer I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso in and the leaf in Mint Macaron, stamped off.

I love the clean and simple look to the inside of this card as well. Now for the box!

Here are the measurements:

  • Box bottom in Early Espresso cardstock cut at 8″ x 8″, scored at 2″ on all 4 sides
  • Box top in Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP cut at 6″ x 6″, scored at 1″ on all 4 sides

In this picture it just looks like square card, which would be cute, but the box is even cuter! Once you have scored the cardstock on all 4 sides, fold on all the score line. Next cut on the score lines on opposite side of the cardstock:

Add adhesive to the four corners:

Now fold two of the corners in and raise the flap to glue it together:

Repeat these steps for the box top. To decorate the box I added a piece of the Mint Macaron ribbon and tied a bow all the way to the left of the box top. I then took a piece of the Metallic Ribbon and threaded it under the bow, added two of the acorns and then tied it in a knot behind the bow to secure them. I trimmed the knot to hide it under the bow. Next I stamped repeated the 2-step stamp process for the label with the long leaf and the sentiment. I punched it out with the Timeless Label punch and then I punched a piece of the Brushed Metallic paper in the copper with the Label Me Lovely punch and glued the two pieces together. I added them to the box top with dimensionals and it was done.
