Hey everyone! Happy Saturday! I meant to post this yesterday, but you know how things can be sometimes. On the plus side, I got to spend time with Charlie yesterday and that’s way better then sitting in front of a computer! I wanted to share a sneak peek of the new Banner Year Bundle and that gorgeous Plaid Tidings DSP. This is such a fun, simple card that can be mass produced in no time!
Here are the measurements for the card:
- card base in Pumpkin Pie cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic Black cardstock 2 cut at 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
- Plaid Tidings DSP cut at 3″ x 4″ and 3/4″ x 3″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″ and 1″ x 4″
Aside from the DSP, this card is created from all scraps! My kind of card!! I pulled out my Pumpkin Pie card base and then chose my DSP. I cut it to size and glued it to one of the Basic Black layers and then added a piece of the Organdy Glittered Ribbon. Such sparkly ribbon!!! I used some of our new Stampin’ Seal adhesive on the back to secure the ribbon and then added it to the card front with some of the Black Dimensionals. Next I found the strip of Whisper White in my stash and stamped the jack-o-lantern on the left side. I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Memento Tuxedo Black inks for that and the sentiment. I punched the flag end with the new Banners Pick-a-Punch punch and then added it to the card front with more black dimensionals. This punch is going to be a fun one to have around! It has two types of flag ends and you can create three different sizes of banners, 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ widths. After I placed the banner, I added some of the new Iridescent Pearls. They are gorgeous!!
See those pearls?!? They are so pretty in person. When you move the card around, you see the different colors. Trust me, you’re going to want to add those to your stash!!! For the inside, I just stamped the sentiment, also in Tuxedo Black ink and then I trimmed a 3/4″ strip of the DSP left when I created the front and glued it to the edge. I then layered that on my other Basic Black layer and both to the inside of the card.
I love how it ties the inside to the front of the card. On the envelope I stamped the jack-o-lantern again on the flap. No naked envelopes!! 🙂
