Good morning! Here is sneak peek #2 for tomorrow’s Hostess Club Workshop. I am actually going to share two different looks for this card using the all the same elements; not because I’m that creative, but because I couldn’t decide which one I liked best!! š When I saw the Lemon Zest Bundle I knew that was going to be one of my first purchases. For those that know me, know I love lemon anything!
The card base of the card is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch piece of Daffodil Delight, scored at 4 1/4 inches with a 4 by 5 1/4 inch piece of Lemon Lime Twist adhered to the front. Then I took a 3 3/4 x 5 inch piece of Whisper White and using one of my Aqua Painters, I did a wash of Lemon Lime Twist. Another one of my favorite color techniques. Since we’re using Whisper White, you have to make sure the brush tip on the aqua painter isn’t soaking wet, that way the cardstock won’t get warped from the water. After the cardstock dried, I tied some Lemon Lime Twist ribbon on it and adhered it to the Lemon Lime panel. Then I stamped the lemons with Daffodil Delight on a scratch piece of cardstock and punched them out. I stamped the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist on Lemon Lime Twist and punched them out. I stamped the sentiments with Basic Black Archival Ink. The sentiments were what caused my moment of indecision! So….when you can’t decide which to use…use them both! And since I was using both sentiments, I decided to create one card in landscape, and the other portrait. I added some adhesive to the left side of the lemon that has the sentiment and adhered it to the other on an angle. Used some mini glue dots to add the leaves, and let’s not forget the bling! Then added some dimensionals and adhered it to the front of the card. I just love the brightness of this card! So summery, which with it hitting 110 degrees by Sunday here, it’s perfect!
Isn’t it amazing how just turning the card to create a landscape makes it look like a completely different card! I just love both of them! See why I had a hard time deciding on the two?
