Hey everyone! Welcome to sneak peek #2 for our very last workshop of the year. I know there are some out there that haven’t had a chance to send out Christmas cards and may not get to it all this year. So, here’s the solution! A New Years card! I wanted to use the stamp set Mixed Drinks for the champagne glasses and found a sample by another demonstrator, Selene Kempton. She is such a talented demo and is actually in the same training group that I belong to. This is my take on her card.

I love the look of the bubbles created with the Softly Falling embossing folder. It’s perfect for the champagne. I used Crushed Curry for the mat and used the same color ink for the stamp on the glasses. I added the Gold Wink of Stella over the stamped ink to give it shimmer, but I think I got too heavy handed with it. So if you choose to use it, be very careful. I cut out a scalloped square to mat the glasses on. I decided to add some of the Metallic Black Thread to the back. Now, I really love the look, but for some reason I don’t think it looks as good as when others do it. Kind of like that whole “messy bun” thing. šŸ˜‰ It just never looks the same! I pulled out my Teeny Tiny Wishes set for the Happy New Year. I love that set and hope it never retires. There’s too many times I need just a little sentiment and this one always comes through.

I know this is a really busy time of year, but getting together with the ladies this Friday is going to be a real treat. If you can’t make it but would like to purchase any of these items, just head over to my online storeĀ hereĀ to shop. When you check out, please use Hostess Code 7HXWJGX3 and I’ll send you a pack of handmade cards. If your order is $60.00 or more, I’ll send you a brand new embellishment from the Occasions Catalog. I send those out the first week of January. While you’re shopping, check out all the closeout items. Stampin’ Up! is in the process of cleaning out the retiring items to make room for all the new spring items, so take advantage of all the deep sale items and stock up!

Have a great evening and I thank you for stopping by!
