Ok, next I have a sneak peek for Saturday’s Birthday Card Class. This is the first project we’re going to make. I love the new Wood Words stamp set and that designer series paper is just to die for!! This card was actually a case of another one that I cased from Ronda Wade. She has some of the cutest card samples!!
To make this card I started with a card base from Thick Whisper White cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. I layered on a 5 3/8 x 4 1/8″ piece of Real Red and then a 5 1/4 by 4″ piece of regular Whisper White. I stamped the flowers in Basic Black Archival and used a Blender Pen with some Real Red ink to color a couple of the flowers. I cut out a piece of the designer series paper using the Stitched Circle Framelits and adhered it to the card. I took a strip of Whisper White and stamped the Happy Birthday from the Five For All stamp set, snipped the flag end with my Paper Snips and glued it to a 1/4″ strip of Gold Glimmer Paper and then added it to the card using dimensionals. I stamped the heart from the stamp set and punched it out with the 1″ Circle Punch and added it to the card with another dimensional. Then I added a bow made with some Linen Thread. I wanted a little more bling so I took the Gingerbread Man Punch and punched out some Gold Glimmer Paper and adhered them with the Fine Tip Glue. I LOVE how it turned out!!
Like what you see but can’t make it to my class? No problem! When you place a $35.00 or more, I’ll send you the project packets for free!
