Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a great Monday. I wanted to share a sympathy card I made for some friends. It always is so hard to create when you have to create one of these. I ended up looking on Pinterest, my favorite when I’m having mojo issues, and found this one.

I love the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set, it is definitely my go to for these. The card I cased was actually created back in 2010, which was before I became a demonstrator. Good to know some of our stamps stick around awhile. 🙂 I wanted something soft for this card and the color combination of Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake was perfect. I used the new Seasonal Layers Thinlets to create the scalloped edges. The ribbon I used was some that has been retired for a couple of years now, but if your’e like me, you keep it any way.

I stamped the tree in Pear Pizzazz and punched the flowers in Blushing Bride with the Tree Builder punch. Those little flowers work perfectly. Stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake, added some pearls and called it finished.

I stamped the tree in Blushing Bride, but stamped off a couple of times so it would just be a hint of the tree. I stamped the image in Crumb Cake right on top.

I really need to create a bunch of sympathy cards when I’m not so sad. That way I already have them on hand. Will add that to my to do list. If you’re new to Stampin’ Up! and don’t have this stamp set, I highly recommend it. It’s the perfect one to add to your arsenal. You can get it at my online store here. When you use Hostess Code 93HEHUC2, I will send you a package of handmade cards all ready to send out. If your order is $40.00 or more, I’ll include a new embellishment from the new 2017/2018 Annual Catalog.

I thank you for stopping by, be sure to come back for some sneak peeks to new product that will be used on cards for our June Birthday Card Class. Have a great evening!
