Hey everyone, happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend. We actually saw some rain!! But that was short lived and we’re supposed to be in the mid-90’s by this weekend. Here we go!! Life in the Northstate!! I wanted to hare a card my hubby requested over the weekend.

He has been become quite the woodworker and has been creating these boxes for people. The lids slide open and you can keep any kind of treasures you want in them. He wanted a card to go with this particular box.

And since I love to coordinate cards with gifts, this one was a no-brainer!! lol Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in Blueberry Bushel cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Come Sail Away DSP cut at 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″

I used two of the sentiments from the Share Sunshine .pdf that Stampin’ Up! released last week. This is a Giveback program that 100% of the proceeds from your purchase of $12.00 goes to charity to help others during this Covid-19 Pandemic. You get to choose one of two charities at the time you purchase it and then you get 15 pages of quarantine related sentiments to create projects for others and share some sunshine. Each page of phrases and images comes with black and colored fonts and images, so you have a variety to play with. And since I was making a masculine card for this box, I needed to keep it very simple. Plus everything on this card is made from scraps!! Woo hoo!!

I started with a Blueberry Bushel card base and a piece of Whisper White. I found the scrap of the DSP and glued it to the Whisper White layer. I had a piece of the 1/2″ Basic Black Satin ribbon left from another project, so I added it to the layer at the seam of DSP/Whisper White and then glued it all to the card front. I punched out a dog from a scrap of Basic Black cardstock with the Dog Builder Punch and added it to the card front with some black dimensionals. Next I trimmed my sentiment from the .pdf sheet and then added it a Blueberry Bushel mat.

For the inside I trimmed the coordinating sentiment and added it to another mat and then to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

If you would like to take advantage of the Giveback program and get your Share Sunshine .pdf download, you can buy it here. Here’s a little sneak peek of what they look like.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure to come back again tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday project and I hope you have a great Monday!
