Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I wanted to take one last look at the September Paper Pumpkin kit with another alternate card, this time a fun fold card. This has been a really cute kit to play with and if you have any little kids that need treat holders for school, this was made especially for you! Here are the measurements for this card:
- Card base in Basic Black cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and 7″ x 3″, scored at 3 1/2″
- Gorgeous Grape cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″
This is one of those cards that started out completely different in my mind, but I think it still turned out cute, plus I got to use all scraps, so bonus!! I took my large layer of Gorgeous Grape and stamped the skull randomly in Gorgeous Grape ink. I glued it to the card base. Next I created the smaller “card” out of Basic Black and glued it to the front of the card base. I cut another piece of Gorgeous Grape for the front of the “card” and added the vellum circle and the spider web from the kit with Mini Dimensionals. I thought it looked rather plain, so I added rhinestones for eyes on the skull…still too plain, so I stamped some more skull images. For the inside layer, I stamped the skeleton as if he’s peeking in and waving in Tuxedo Black ink and then added the sentiment and glued it down. I added the little tag stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink and the hand, both from the kit and called it done. It didn’t stay open to photograph, so hubby assisted. 🙂
Have you heard that the October and November kits coordinate? They do! October’s kit will be full sized Christmas cards and the November kit will be coordinating tags, plus they will come in these cute little boxes.
