Hey everyone! How is your week going? I am sorry this post is late, but I’ve been prepping for 2 classes this week so I tend to get caught up and forget to post here. Here’s a look at that cute little jack-o’lantern from this week’s Product of the Week. The measurements for this card are:
- Card base in Old Olive cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Toil & Trouble DSP cut at 2″ x 5 1/2″
I love how the old and the new Stampin’ Up! products all coordinate and this is an example of just that! I started by stamping the pumpkin tag and colored it with the Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut it out with the coordinating framelits and set it aside. When I decided that I wanted to use it as a tag, I realized that by coloring both sides you can’t stamp or write on the inside because the blends bleed through. So, to fix that issue, I cut another tag and adhered them both together. Next I created the card base and added the DSP strip. Notice that one of the aprons in the paper has a jack o-lantern face? Perfect! I attached the jack o’lantern to the corner and added a double bow of Basic Black Baker’s Twine and voila! You’ve got a quick and easy Halloween card. Here’s a look at the the tag opened up to show the sentiment:
Isn’t that cute? Now for my announcement. Since things are getting really busy around here and it’s only going to get busier with the holidays coming, I am discontinuing my Fabulous Friday videos. Instead, I’m going to be creating exclusive content for a Fabulous Friday email. What does that mean? I will still be creating a fun project with a complete tutorial, but the only way for you to get it, is by joining my email list. I’m not even going to post that project here. So, if you aren’t on my email list, it’s time to sign up! You can go here to join today.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Wednesday evening.
