Hey everyone! How has your Thursday been? It was pretty busy here, but that’s just life, right? I am obsessed with the April Paper Pumpkin kit! Today I created this cute little rustic Mother’s Day card from all scraps! And four of the products I used are retiring, the Wood Textures DSP, the Berry Burst cardstock and ink, and the Lemon Lime Twist ink will be gone shortly. What am I going to do without Lemon Lime Twist?!? So here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Berry Burst cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
- Wood Textures DSP cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and 3″ x 4″ for the inside
I have loved the Wood Textures DSP ever since it came out in last year’s catalog and in fact it was so popular,. It became the first ever DSP to carry forward! I did stock up, so I should be good for awhile. So I grabbed the two scraps I had in the in the distressed painted pattern and stamped my flowers in Berry Burst ink and the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist. I did the same on the inside piece. I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst ink, then to change things up a bit, I attached them together at an angle. I tied a piece of the Linen Thread around it and in a bow, then attached it to the front of the card and the smaller piece to the inside of the card. I added some pearls and voila! Done!
Here’s a look at the inside:
