Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend. We definitely did. I took the weekend off and enjoyed the full 2 days with hubby and Chloe. It was a nice just to hang out and get some stuff done around the house. Today’s project definitely reflects my feelings!
Here are the measurements for the card:
- Card base in Petal Pink cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Early Espresso cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Ornate Garden Specialty DSP cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
There’s just something about this piece of DSP that I just love! It’s just colorful for one, but I think the daisies are what makes me smile the most. And guess what….there’s a sneak peek of one of the new In-Colors that will be in the new Annual Catalog starting on June 3rd. It’s called Bumble Bee!! I love the name and can’t wait to see the the rest!
So I actually created this with all scraps, which always makes me happy. It’s a quick and easy card that makes it even more fun! I glued the DSP to the Early Espresso layer and then both to the card front. Next I cut the label from a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink. I added it to the card front with dimensionals and then added some of those new Gold Gilded Gems. I had the bow in the Terracotta Tile ribbon laying on my desk, so I added that with a Mini Glue Dot.
For the inside, I just stamped the sentiment, also in Early Espresso ink and glued the layer to the inside and was done. It literally took me less then 5 minutes to create this card!
The best part of quick and easy is you can make a bunch of these in just a short amount of time! This stamp set is the one that coordinates with the Seriously the Best card kit that’s in the spring catalog. I love the big bold sentiments for the front of the card. I think the kit is also perfect for right now. Gives you an adorable kit to create 16 beautiful cards to send out to friends and family while we are all quarantined. Happy Mail is a really good thing these days!! 🙂
