Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I wanted to share a super cute punch art turkey that I saw online by fellow demo Susan Campfield. This is an adorable little treat holder that would be perfect for your little turkeys at Thanksgiving. I can just see these as part of your table settings. So stinking cute!!! So here are the punches, dies, cardstock, and embellishments you’ll need:
- 1″ Circle for head
- Lemon Builder Punch for the body and wings
- Tree Builder Punch for the feet, beak, and waddle
- Circle Tab Punch for the hat
- Lots of Labels (largest label) for the bag topper
- Layering Circles (largest scalloped circle behind the feathers)
- Bunch of Banners Die for sentiment
- Soft Suede for the body and hat band
- Crushed Curry for the beak and feet
- Basic Black for the hat
- Cajun Craze for the tag topper
- Cherry Cobbler for the scalloped circle
- Foil Snowflakes for the feathers
- Glitter Enamel Dots for the hat buckle
- Painted Harvest for the sentiment
- Cajun Craze ink for the sentiment
- Googly eyes
- 2 x 8 Treat bags
- Stampin’ Dimensionals for banner
Long list of supplies, but oh so worth it the final product! I went ahead and punched, die cut and stamped everything. Then I assembled them using the Multipurpose Glue. It seemed to work the best. I filled the bag first and added the topper and stapled it. Then I glued on the scalloped circle. The pilgrim hat needs a little trimming to create the stove top, but it was just two quick snips to create it. Then I cut a strip of Soft Suede and glued it to the hat, then trimmed to fit and added one of the glitter dots. I assembled the turkey body, added the head, beak, waddle and eyes. My googly eyes had adhesive on them, but you could always use a mini glue dot on them. I added the hat and then glued him to a gold snowflake. I then glued both to the scalloped circle. I stamped the sentiment on the banner and adhered it to the turkey with dimensionals. I just LOVE this guy!! I will say it does take some time to create him, but it is oh so worth it!! I had some mini peanut butter cups on hand so I filled the bag with those. Susan found some Hershey’s apple shaped chocolates filled with caramel at Target that I think were even cuter, more fall like. But hey, you use what you got!! lol Here’s a look at the entire treat holder:
