Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the new week! This week’s Product of the Week is the Tropical Chic Bundle. What better set to showcase during summer then this one? Just makes you want to book a trip to Hawaii! Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Melon Mambo cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and a strip at 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
- Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
What do you think of the bright colors for this one? I love how well Lemon Lime Twist just makes the Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay pop. So I randomly stamped the bigger leaf in Lemon Lime Twist and the smaller one in Bermuda Bay. I stamped the flowers in Melon Mambo and cut them out with the coordinating die and cut out two of the palm fronds in Shaded Spruce cardstock. I added the strip of Melon Mambo cardstock and that new gorgeous ruffled ribbon in Lemon Lime Twist, then adhered them to the Lemon Lime Twist layer, then to the card base. I’ll tell you a secret…that strip was added to cover a water spot on the Whisper White. I was drinking a glass of iced tea and a drop of condensation on the glass dropped on it and left a splotch right in the middle of one of the leaves. So rather then start over, I just covered it up! lol Next I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. I punched a 1 3/4″ circle of the new Sparkle Glimmer Paper. I love how the sparkle has a hint of pink in it, which it goes perfect with the Melon Mambo. I adhered the two together with some Mini Glue Dots and then did the same with the two palm fronds. I adhered that down with dimensionals, then added the three flowers. I colored three of the clear rhinestones with the Dark Bermuda Bay Blends Marker and sprinkled them on the card. I felt the flowers needed something, so I added some more rhinestones. I really like how this turned out! What do you think?
