Hey everyone, how’s your Wednesday going? Today we’re going to take a look at another outgoing 2017-2019 In Color, Powder Pink. This is such a pretty pink, so soft and has more of a baby pink tone to it. Here are the measurements for today’s card:

  • Card base in Night of Navy cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Powder Pink cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″

I wanted to use the Painted Seasons stamp set again as it isn’t going to be around for much longer and I thought those flowers would be really pretty in the Powder Pink. I took my piece of Whisper White cardstock and randomly stamped the flower, stamping off first because I wanted it to be very light. Next I did the same with the leaf stamp in Lemon Lime Twist ink and then again with the stars in Night of Navy. I like incorporating 3 colors when I can in a card or scrapbook page. I think it comes down to the “set of 3″ rule being more ascetically pleasing to the eye. Any way, it works! lol My first thought was to stamp all the flowers and leaves and then add a large sentiment, but that thought went out the window when I added the stars, it just wouldn’t work at that point. (this is how my mind works when I design off the cuff lol) So I adhered the Whisper White to the Powder Pink layer and then added the Night of Navy Baker’s Twine then adhered it all to the card base. So next I decided to stamp the flower on another scrap and stamped the sentiment from the Part of My Story stamp set over it in Night of Navy ink. I punched it out with the 2” Circle Punch and added it to a Starburst punch of Sparkle Glimmer Paper. I adhered them together with Mini Glue Dots and then added dimensionals to the back to adhere it to the card front over the twine. I sprinkled on some rhinestones and called it done.

Here’s what I did for the inside:

I love the Powder Pink with the Night of Navy, but then, you know Night of Navy is my favorite color so what can I say? It’s just a nice blue!! 😛 I hope you liked today’s project.
