Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. Were you able to catch my Facebook Live this morning? If not, you can catch the replay here on my YouTube Channel. While you’re there, I would love it if you would like and share my video. And if you’re aren’t a subscriber yet, I would be honored to have you subscribe. Since today is the first day of the Designer Series Paper Sale, I thought I would show some off on my project and the Bloom Where You’re Planted is fast becoming one of my favorites!

Here are the measurements for today’s card:

  • Soft Succulent cardstock base cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″, trim front section down to 3 1/4″
  • Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP cut at 2″ x 4″ and 3″ x 4″ (the video shows the wrong measurements. oops!)
  • Basic White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″

I have to say that I just love this card design. I received a swap card from someone with this style and couldn’t wait to give it a shot. So I started by creating my hanging basket. It’s die cut from a scrap of Evening Evergreen cardstock. I then stamped the pot in Cinnamon Cider and the plant in Soft Succulent inks and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I added the plant to the pot with a Mini Glue Dot and attached it to the hanging basket with some Liquid Glue. Tip: a little goes a long way! Once it was assembled I added it to the DSP with dimensionals. I used a piece of the Gray Granite Baker’s Twine to give it an extra look of hanging by feeding it through the hole and attached it to the back of the DSP. Next I took my card base and starting at the top of the fold, trimmed it down 3 1/4″, rotated it and cut it across to create the card base, which measures 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. I then adhered the DSP with the hanging basket on it to the flap I just cut off.  To finish of the card front, I cut the 2″ x 4″ piece of DSP and added the piece of Evening Evergreen ribbon, and then both to the flap that was still attached to the card base. I then added a strip of adhesive above and below of the ribbon and attached the plant flap. For my bling I used some of the 2021/2023 In Color Gems.

For the inside I stamped another vase in Gray Granite ink and the plant in Soft Succulent inks down on the lower left corner. Now the sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen and has to be stamped towards the middle of the layer so it hides behind the card front.

And don’t forget your envelope. Since all that gorgeous paper is on sale, you can afford to use it for decorating your envelope! My very favorite way to decorate my envelopes!!!

Doesn’t that just tie it all together? I just absolutely love the look of it!!! What do you think? Here’s a look at all the papers that are sale for the month of July.
