Hey everyone! Welcome to a new week! I don’t know about you, but I was definitely ready for a new one!! After the craziness of last week, Monday was looking pretty good to me. š
Yesterday I took a little bit of me time and decided to do something I haven’t in awhile. Scrapbook! I had big plans to get a bunch of pages done, but as with the way my week had gone, it didn’t go quite like I expected. That’s ok, I got one page done and I was very happy!! This is what got me into paper crafting in the first place.
So I had two school pictures of my grandson, Charlie, from his preschool; one from last year and one from this year. To show the difference from 2 years to 3 years old, I used both photos. I just LOVE this little boy!! (can you tell?!?) The school colors are purple and white, and luckily I had some retired Elegant Eggplant 12 x 12 sheets, so I used it as my base. I then took a 12 x 12 piece of Whisper White and cut it down to 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 and layered it on. I don’t have an alphabet stamp set so I used my Cricut to cut out the title “Munchkin University Photo Ops” in Elegant Eggplant. Since this is shows his preschool I wanted the letters to be fun when they were adhered.so I angled them back and forth. This helps when you can never get things in a straight line too. I cut out a heart in Real Red using the Sweet and Sassy Heart Framelits to pull out some of the red in the pictures. Since the pictures had a lot of yellow in them, I layered on an 11 x 8 1/2″ piece of Daffodil Delight to use as an extra large mat for the pictures. Then I punched out two circles of Elegant Eggplant using the 2 1/4″ circle punch to layer under the numbers I cut out using the Large Numbers Framelits. I then got out the new Color Theory card set from our Memories and More line of memory keeping products and picked out a card for my journaling and a couple of embellishments to add. So easy!! And the cards and embellishments in one little box make for easy storage. The entire line of Memories and More Card Packs can be purchased for less than $50.00, so it is one of the most economical ways to save your pictures.
Didn’t that turn out cute? And the 12 x 12 pages can be interspersed with the pocket pages to make a quick and easy scrapbook. I don’t know about you, but I have a ton of pictures to save and this helps me save a lot of time doing it. Want to try some out for yourself?
