Good morning! Better late than never!! Here’s your final sneak peek for tonight’s Hostess Club Workshop. The ladies always have sooooo much fun at our monthly get togethers!! Definitely a girls’ night out and a chance to forget about all of life’s other issues.
So for the third project for tonight I chose the Perfect Mix stamp set. Now for those that don’t know, I LOVE to bake! (no wonder I can’t lose any weight!! lol) It’s nothing for me to crank out 36 dozen or more cookies during the holidays, so this set just made me smile. While choosing what colors to use, I have been listening to some of my favorite oldies music so I went retro. I went with a classic red and white combo with a splash of tan, what do you think? I chose the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack to get the red and white polka dot paper. Love those stacks! They are usually at the top of my wish list when the new catalog comes out because you get so much versatility with them. I used the Layering Circle Framelits for the sentiment and the mixing bowl. I really like the two-step stamp process using the Sahara Sand for the mixing bowl, which I stamped off, and the Basic Black for the sentiment. The oven mitt and spatula were stamped with Basic Black Archival ink and I did some fussy cutting on them using the Paper Snips. They are perfect for this kine of precision cutting. I pulled out my Watercolor Pencils and shaded the handle lightly with the Early Espresso, I didn’t want it too dark. I colored the mitt with the Real Red and did a very light wash with the Aqua Painter. Since I’m not using the Watercolor Paper I didn’t want to saturate the paper. Add some of the Burlap Ribbon and don’t forget the bling, dimensionals on the back of the scalloped circle and the mitt and voila!
Now I want to go bake some cookies!! lol If you want to add these to your collection, head over here to purchase yours.
