Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a good start. Can you believe that Sale-a-bration is almost over? There’s only 3 weeks left! So with that in mind, I decided to create something using some of the SAB goodies. Don’t know what Sale-a-bration is? It’s a sale that runs from January through the end of March where for every $50.00 you spend out of the Occasions or Annual Catalogs, you get to choose an item for free from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. There’s stamp sets, paper, and even a Memories & More card kit available to name a few. I used 3 different items on today’s card, the Party Pandas, the Bubbles & Fizz DSP and that gorgeous Shimmer Ribbon. Here are the measurements of my card:
- Card base in Calypso Coral cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Basic Gray cardstock cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and with the Layering Ovals Framelits
- Bubbles & Fizz DSP cut at $” x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″
I just love those little pandas and couldn’t resist making another card with the set. They are just so stinking cute!! And the Bubbles & Fizz DSP has such happy colors that you can’t help but smile when you create something with it.
I first stamped the panda on the Whisper White at an angle so he could look like he was peeking in at you. Then I colored the party hat with my Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Markers. I then stamped the Happy Birthday at the top of the oval. Next I cut out the oval on the DSP and adhered the Whisper White layer behind it. Then I took out the scallop oval that coordinated with the oval I used on the DSP to cut a frame in Basic Gray cardstock. I used the Liquid Glue to add that over the oval on the DSP. I grabbed a piece of the Calypso Coral Shimmer Ribbon that is another free item in the SAB catalog and tied it in a knot under the frame and adhered everything to the Basic Gray layer. I adhered that to the card base and added some rhinestones and called it done. Once I had the design in my head it all came together pretty quickly.
