Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a good Thursday! I wanted to share a birthday card I made today with the Painted Poppies Bundle. That Peaceful Poppies DSP is absolutely gorgeous and I knew I had to start with that, even though it’s not a very big piece. 😉 I just love the colors!
Here are the measurements for the card:
- Card base in Poppy Parade cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Basic Black cardstock cut at 2 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Peaceful Poppies DSP cut at 2″ x 4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside
After I chose the DSP, I went looking through my stash for a card base and found this one in Poppy Parade. I cut the DSP down and added it to the Basic Black layer. I found a piece of the Glitter Organdy Ribbon in my stash and added that and glued it all right to the card base. Next I cut out the swirly circle with one of the dies from the bundle. I cut a coordinating circle for the inside from the Layering Circles die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Sending You Thoughts stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, glued it to the swirly circle and then added them both to the card front with dimensionals. I then added some of the Holiday Rhinestones to bring out the Pool Party color in the DSP.
For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black and added the Poppy from the Painted Poppies stamp set in, you got it, Poppy Parade ink.
