Hey everyone! Welcome to the second sneak peek for Friday’s Workshop. With Thanksgiving just over a week away, I thought we needed to create one more fall type card and what better stamp set to showcase than Basket of Wishes.
The card base is created with a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″ piece of Cajun Craze. I used two pieces of the Petals & Paisleys Specialty paper, one measured at 2 x 5 1/4″ and the other at 1 1/4 x 4″. I cut a piece of the Shimmery White at 3 x 3 1/2″ and stamped the images in Stazon Jet Black. I then used one of our Aqua Painters to water color the images. I used Crumb Cake for the basket and Smoky Slate for the shadowing effect. Then used Pumpkin Pie, Delightful Dijon, Old Olive and a touch of Cajun Craze inks for the vegetables and Cajun Craze for the sentiment. I also added a little bit of Wink of Stella to the side of the basket, but you can’t see it in the picture. The inks float very nicely on the Shimmery White paper so it makes water coloring really easy. After I pieced the 3 pieces of cardstock together I added a piece of the 3/8″ Very Vanilla Stitched Ribbon, tied a knot and then adhered it to the card base. Added a few Pearl Basic Jewels and you’ve got yourself a very nice fall card.
