Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. After taking last week off completely from my studio, I finally had a chance to play with the November Paper Pumpkin kit. Now for those that are friends with me on Facebook, they have already seen all of my (well most any way) gingerbread collection in my kitchen, so they know how excited I was for this kit. And with my collection in mind, I just had to create some kind of home decor piece. The kit comes with everything you need to create 16 gift card holders, but you know me, I’ll be creating some cards and tags too. Were you able to watch my Facebook live this morning to see me create this? If not, you can watch the replay on my Youtube Channel here. While you’re there, I’d love it if you would like and share my video and of course, subscribe if you aren’t a subscriber yet.

I started by choosing two of the gift card holders and two door layers, one with the heart and one with the star, from the kit and stamped the swirlies on both both. I cut out the doors with my snips and then holding the layer where I would adhere it, I used a retired 1/2″ circle punch to punch a hole where the cut for the star or heart would sit and then before I glued them down, I stamped the arch around the doors in Cinnamon Cider ink. Then I cut out out a star and a heart from the Stitched Stars and Stitched Be Mine die sets on the solid sides and then stamped the little flourishes, also in Cider Cinnamon ink. Next I added some of the Tear & Tape from the kit to the back of one of the straight edges so that I could adhere them over the little flap that has the score line. By gluing the two cardholders together, it creates a box. Then I took my vellum that measures 4″ x 8 1/2″ and added another strip of Tear & Tape to one edge and attached the two ends together to create the hurricane and slipped inside the box. Sooooo easy!

So what do you think? Isn’t that cute??? I really loved how it turned out and couldn’t wait to share it with you! I have to say that the Paper Pumpkin kits are really getting cuter and cuter as time goes on. Next month’s kit is going to be all about teddy bears and comfort cards. The kit is called Bearing Comforting and is available for subscription until December 10th. We all need to send some comfort cards right now and this kit is going to help. You can start your subscription by going here. Not sure what Paper Pumkin is? It’s Stampin’ Up!’s monthly craft box that gets delivered to your door with just about everything you need to complete the projects. They can be cards, treat holders, gift card holders like this one or even home decor. It always has an exclusive stamp set and an ink spot and when you receive your very first kit, you even get an acrylic block to use with the stamps. They never repeat an ink color in a 12-month cycle either, so it’s a good way to collect the colors. You get it all for just $22.00 plus tax and shipping is included in the base cost. You can cancel or pause at any time, so there’s really nothing to lose.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a fantastic day.
