Hello everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. This week we are playing with that adorable November Paper Pumpkin kit. Were you able to catch my Facebook Live this morning? If not, you can watch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here. I’m sure by now you have seen the adorable treat holders this kit creates, but when I saw those large die cuts, the scrapbooker in me squealed!! And with 2 of each die cuts for treat holder and making 9 treat holders….well, you can do the math!! lol Even if you made a couple of each into the treat holders, you have quite a few to play with!! Here’s a look at my layout.
Here are the measurements for each layer:
- Evening Evergreen 12 x 12 base
- Sweet Stockings DSP cut at 8″ x 12″
- Old Olive cardstock 8 1/2″ x 11″
- Basic White 12 x 12 layer cut at 10″ x 10″
- Pool Party cardstock cut at 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″
- Poppy Parade cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″
- Early Espresso cardstock cut at 1″ x 1″
I love how all of our product coordinate together so well! The scrap of the Sweet Stockings DSP goes perfectly with the tree! Everything is glued down with Stampin’ Seal+ except the tree and the sentiment tag. I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink and added a bow in the Old Olive twine from the kit. The stars are stamped in Pool Party around the tree to take up some of the white space. The kit didn’t include any bling, I know, GASP! So I added some rhinestones on the tree. Didn’t that turn out cute? Now for my gift card holder using the packages die cut.
I know what you’re thinking…that’s not it! Nope! But it is the envelope for the gift card holder! I used one of the Ombre Gift Bags in Evening Evergreen and it fits perfectly! I stamped the the stars in Evening Evergreen ink across the top and then wrapped a piece of the Silver Mesh ribbon around it and tied it in a knot. Next I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen on one of the tags and slipped it under the ribbon, attaching it with Stampin’ Seal. Next I tied a knot in the twine from the kit and added it with a Mini Glue Dot. Now for the gift card holder itself.
Here are the measurements for the base:
- Evening Evergreen cardstock cut at 4 1/2″ x 10 1/2″, scored at 6 1/4″ and 8 3/4″
- Basic White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″
I started by folding up the two flaps to see where the gift card would sit and sat my inside layer down to eyeball the area I wanted to stamp the stars. I stamped the stars in Evening Evergreen ink all over the top portion so that it would give the base some interest and match the pattern of the presents when closed. I then stamped the to/from sentiment in Evening Evergreen and attached it to the inside. Next I took a retired 3/4″ hole punch and punch the thumb hole at the center of the bottom edge of cardstock. I added some Tear & Tape at the side edges, making sure there was enough room to add the gift card. I then closed the card and attached the die cut. I stamped another tag from the kit using Evening Evergreen for the sentiment and Flirty Flamingo (the ink included in the kit) and attached it with dimensionals. I tied another bow in the Flirty Flamingo twine and added it with another Mini Glue Dot. Here’s a look at the inside of the gift card holder:
And here the gift card holder peeking out of the “envelope”.
