Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! How’s your short week going? I don’t know about you, but the 4-day weeks always seem longer then the 5-day weeks! lol So today we are playing with the Nourish & Flourish Kit that is on page 5 of the July-Dec Mini Catalog. There is always an item in one of our catalogs that is chosen to make a difference for a certain cause and this kit is it for this catalog. For every kit purchased, Stampin’ Up! will donate $3.00 to support organizations working to end food insecurity. This one includes an insulated canvas lunch bag and an all-occasion card kit that doesn’t need any ink, as it has pre-printed labels. This one is perfect for a new crafter! Were you able to catch my Facebook Live this morning? If not, you can catch the replay on my YouTube Channel here. While you are there, please be sure to give my video a thumbs up to help get my video out there. And if you’re not a subscriber, please be sure to subscribe. I’m getting close to 300 subscribers, and when I reach that number, I will holding a random drawing for a free embellishment.
So here’s a look at the cards the kit creates. It has everything you need for 9 cards with envelopes, 3 each of these designs. I created 2 of each and saved the 3rd for my live video.
Here’s a look at card one:
- Card base in Pool Party cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″; trim off 1″ off card front
- Kit card base cut at 3″ x 5 1/4″ and 1″ x 5 1/4″
- Back of Kit card base cut at 3″ x 5″
I created my alternates the same as the kit instructions as far as placement for the labels and die cuts and used the Charming Sentiments for the inside sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink. Here’s a look at the inside:
Here is a look at card 2:
- Card base in Daffodil Delight cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Pool Party cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Kit card base cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 1/2″ x 5″ for the inside
- Back of Kit card base cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
I thought the Daffodil Delight card base really brightened up the card. Here’s a look at the inside”
I took the 1/2″ strip from the card base and brushed on some Shaded Spruce ink to give it some color and used Calypso Coral ink for the sentiment.
Here’s a look at card 3:
- Card base in Shaded Spruce cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″, trim off 2 3/4″ off the card front
- Kit card base front 2 cut at 2 1/2″ x 4″
- Back of kit card base cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
The piece that is trimmed off the card front becomes the flap. Here’s a look at the inside
I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink. All of the sentiments that I stamped from the same stamp set, the Charming Sentiments.
