Hello!! Happy Monday! With a new week we have a new Product of the Week and this week I will be showcasing our gorgeous new ink pads. Did you know that through July 31st you can get a 10-pack of our new ink pads for FREE when you join the family? That’s right, a 10-pack from any color family! That’s a pretty good deal! For $99.00 plus tax and FREE shipping you get to choose $125.00 in product (anything you want) and then you get to choose any a set of ink pads from any of our color families. That’s an additional $67.00 for FREE!!! So to show off some of those colors, here’s a card with the oldest stamp set in the catalog, Lovely as a Tree. Here are the measurements:
- Card base in Night of Navy cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Wood Textures DSP cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Shimmery White cardstock cut at 3″ x 5″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 1/2″ x 3″
I love taking our inks and Stampin’ Sponges and creating a background for a landscape. For this one I first sponged on some Pear Pizzazz at the bottom. I always start off the edge and work the sponge back onto the cardstock. That way you minimize any swipe marks on the cardstock. Next I pulled out some Smoky Slate and sponged just above the grass area. I was thinking of a foggy effect when I used it. Then I used So Saffron just above the gray and added a little bit of Melon Mambo to give it a sunrise effect. Then I pulled out the Balmy Blue, which is one of our new colors. Love it for sky! Then I pulled out the Night of Navy to not only coordinate with the cardstock, but to darken the end of the sky. Next I stamped the image in Basic Gray ink. This is a new style ink pad and works so much better then the Archival Basic Gray. I stamped the sentiment from the new Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set on a scrap piece of Whisper White and then flagged the edges with my snips. Before I adhered the Wood Textures DSP, I added some Linen Thread and tied it in a bow. After I adhered that down to the card front, I added the scenery and sentiment pieces. To finish it off, I added some pearls. See what you can due with ink, sponges and paper? So much fun!!
Thank you so much for stopping by. Don’t forget to come by tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday!
