Hey everyone! Happy Monday! It feels so good to be back in my scraproom! Last week my sweet husband was kind enough to share his flu bug with me, so I pretty much was down for the count for the last 6 days. It was not a pretty site! lol Today I wanted to share a card using this week’s Product of the Week, the Winter Woods Bundle and there’s even a little bitty sneak peek in there for some new product. Do you see it? š Here are the measurements for the card:
- Card base in Merry Merlot cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Early Espresso cardstock cut at 4″ x 3 1/2″ and 1 1/8″ x 2 1/2″
- Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 3 7/8″ x 3 3 3/8″
When I first got my Holiday Catalog, the birch tree image in this set just caught my eye. And the funny thing is, this is the first time I’ve used the image! I pulled out my Stamparatus to stamp the image repeatedly, which is the only way I could have stamped multiples so evenly! Then I cut a piece of Early Espresso to mat it on. Next I stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink and cut it with *ahem* **wink wink** one of the stitched rectangle framelits. It fit perfectly! Then I mounted it on the Early Espresso layer. (did you catch the sneak peek there? lol) I grabbed a piece of the Merry Merlot/Copper Ribbon, which sadly has retired, and wrapped it around the birch layers and tied it in a knot, then adhered it to the card front. I added some dimensionals to the sentiment layer and added that to the card front. I added three of the littlest pearls to the side and called it done. Isn’t it a striking card? I know it might be a little dark for some, but I love the Merry Merlot with Early Espresso, it’s so rich!
