Love to Craft? Join my Dazzling Divas team!

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I know, two posts in one week!!! 🙂 I just wanted to share a layout I created over the weekend of my grandson and his new found passion – motocross! That kid! He is such a blessing and it’s been fun watching him grow up. Let’s take a look at the spread.

The best part of my spread, is the base layers and photo mats were already created. We had played with the Exploring Nature Scrapbook Workshop earlier in the year so I was already ahead. If you’re not familiar with our Scrapbooking Workshop Kits, they come with everything plus a little extra to complete three 2-page layouts. There are printed instructions that even include cutting guides, die cut sheets and sticker sheets. I love that I can either follow the instructions or give it my own twist like I did in this layout. The only extra cardstock I used was the Basic White scraps for the title and the journaling.

Here are the base measurements for both pages:

  • Kit bases – 12″ x 12″
  • White Willow cardstock – 10 3/4″ x 10 3/4″
  • Kit DSP – 10 1/2″ x 10 1/2″
  • Pretty Peacock Two-Tone – 12″ x 2 3/4″
  • Kit sticker – 12″ x 1/2″ cut to fit on both layouts
  • Pecan Pie Photo mats: 2 @ 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″, 1 @ 4 1/4″ x 5 3/4″, 3 @ 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″, 1 @ 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″

This reminded me that creating my layouts ahead of time makes it very easy to play in a much shorter time. I jus printed my photos, create my two die cut embellishments in Cricut and create my journaling. My journaling was created on my computer in a word doc, printed on a piece of Basic White and die cut with one of the Spotlight on Nature circle dies. I used Multipurpose Glue to attach the Cricut die cut and Stampin’ Seal Adhesive on everything else except for the journaling circle. That was added with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the retired Love This Moment stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink one of the tab stickers. I thought it was perfect for that photo. And the bling is the Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems.

The title on the layout is created with a scrap of Basic White that I randomly stamped a splatter image from the retired Swirled Designs stamp set in Pecan Pie ink to imitate dirt. I then die cut the scrap with the Mini Alphabet dies. Since I didn’t add any of our adhesive sheets, I attached the letters and the motorcycle die cut with Multipurpose Glue. Then I added one of the stickers and more of the Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems.

I love how these two pages turned out. I didn’t want to add a bunch of embellishments on it, so I thought the two Cricut die cuts was enough. It didn’t take long to complete these two pages since the bases and photo mats were already prepped and ready to go.

I hope I was able to inspire you today. If you have a chance to play, but don’t have a bunch of time, just create some base pages so they’re ready when you have more time. That’s one of the benefits of our Scrapbooking Workshop Kits. You don’t have to follow the instruction sheets either, just make it your own!

Just a reminder that there’s still time to register for our Beat the Heat Event in August! Three full days to get out of the heat in a very cool setting crafting, snacking and hanging out with friends. Click on the photo below to see all of the information.

Thanks for stopping by. If you’d like to add any of the product I used today, with the exception of the retired product, just head over to my online store here to shop. Have a great rest of your week!
