Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a good weekend because we definitely did around here! There was plenty of stamping on Friday and Saturday. Then yesterday lots of family time that included some lake time and playing in the studio. My kind of weekend!

So today I wanted to share one of the projects that my team created on Saturday at our meeting. It was inspired by fellow demonstrator Bonnie O’Neill. Here are the measurements for today’s card:

  • Card base in Soft Suede cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
  • Small Z fold base in Soft Suede cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 6 1/4″, scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
  • Mosaic Mood DSP cut at 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ and 1 7/8″ x 3 1/2″
  • Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 1 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
  • Blushing Bride cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed.

After you cut all the papers to the above measurements, you’ll want to emboss the Blushing Bride cardstock. I embossed it with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder. (It is currently not available as it is in the process of being conformed to the new style of embossing folder.) Attach a piece of the Scalloped Lace Ribbon on the right side of the cardstock and then glue it down to the inside of the card base. Next, attach the 1 7/8″ piece of DSP to the front panel of the z fold on your card base. Next, take the smaller z fold piece and attach the wider side to the front of the larger card base. You’re going to add adhesive just to the left edge of that layer because the rest hangs off the side. Open the card flat and fold the smaller z fold layer on top so that you can add adhesive to the backside of the last panel. Then close the entire card over the top so that you center the small z fold on the Blushing Bride layer.  Next add the 1 7/8″ x 3 1/2″ piece of DSP to the front of the smaller z fold and the Very Vanilla piece to the inside of the card. Punch a small butterfly in the DSP and glue to the inside of the card base.

Next stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on a layering oval and glue it to a coordinating scalloped oval and then add to the front with dimensionals. Stamp a butterfly in So Saffron ink and punch it out, then add it to the oval with a Mini Glue Dot. Sprinkle on some pearls and you are done.

Isn’t that stunning? Yes, there are a lot of steps for it, but it is oh so worth it! If you would like to order any of these items, just head over to my online store.
