Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I belong to a Facebook Group called Creating for Christ and while watching a live video this morning on our monthly card class using the Petal Garden Memories & More card pack, I wanted to see what I can do with some of the other card packs. Now for those that aren’t familiar with the Memories & More card packs, they are Stampin’ Up!’s version of the pocket style memory keeping system. But just like the title says, it’s for more then just memory keeping. I pulled out my Petal Passion card pack and this is what I came up with. The packs consist of 3″ x 4″ and 4″ x 6″ cards and accessories that can include stickers, foil embellishments and sometimes some acetate cards. I use them in my traditional 12 x 12 scrapbooking as well. Here are the measurements on my card:
- Card base in Powder Pink cardstock cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic Black cardstock cut at (2) 3″ x 4″
- Petal Passion cards cut at 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
I first layered both cards on the Basic Black layers. Then I took some of the Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon and tied it around the striped card layers, then adhered it on the card base at the left. I brought out my Petal Palette stamp set and stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival ink, then adhered that to the card base. I thought the flowers could use some color, so I blended on some Powder Pink ink with my Blender Pen, added some of the light pink glitter dots and called it done. Didn’t that turn out cute? I just love how the card pack coordinates with the stamp set. It’s going to make some really cute scrapbook pages too. And talk about economical! The packs are only $10.00 for 72 double-sided cards. There’s 52 3″ x 4″ cards and 26 4″ x 6″ cards, 2 accent sheets, 2 cardstock sticker sheets and 2 acetate card overlays. That’s a lot to play with!
