Hello again! How’s your Tuesday going? Are you ready to play with the March kit that coordinates with the Meandering Meadows Suite of product? I played with some of the product earlier this morning for my CASE-ing Tuesday card. If you missed that post, you can check it out here. I hope you were able to watch my Facebook Live, but if not, you can catch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here. While you’re there, I would love it if you gave my video a thumbs up and subscribe if you aren’t a subscriber yet.

Let’s look at my scrapbook layout first:

Here are the measurements:

  • Base in Gorgeous Grape cardstock – 12″ x 12″
  • Balmy Blue cardstock – 10 1/2″ x 10 1/2″
  • Basic White cardstock – 10″ x 10″

I have been waiting to scrap these photos for awhile, as you can see by the date. When I saw the card base I used in the layout, I knew this was the time to scrap them!! The flower that is ini the upper corner was created with the extra stamp set, which is a two-step stamp set and is tamped in Garden Green, the ink spot in the kit, Balmy Blue, Gorgeous Grape and Lemon Lolly inks. I ended up fussy cutting it and adding it to the layout with dimensionals. To make it pop against the white background, I stamped the splatter image in Bubble Bath ink randomly in the area that I was going to add the flowers. The Balmy Blue twine is in the  Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack and the sentiment stamp and labels are from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

I don’t know about you, but I really love how my layout turned out! Now let’s look at my first card:

Here are the measurements:

  • Card base in Fresh Freesia cardstock – 41/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and trim off 1 1/2″ and then 3 1/2″ off the front
  • Card base from kit – 2 @ 1 1/4″ x 4″ and one at 3 1/2″ x 4″
  • Balmy Blue cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock – 2 @ 2 1/4″ x 4″

This is actually a bridge card, something I had never heard of before. I belong to a training group and it was part of our Creative Challenge to create one and I thought I would share the style with you! Once all of your pieces are cut, it’s just stamp and assemble! I stamped my sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink and the flower in Garden Green. I colored the flower with Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends, our version of alcohol markers. I used some of the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds for my bling.

Here’s a look at my first ever bridge card that I entered into our Creative Challenge:

I used a Lemon Lolly card base and a piece of the Meandering Garden DSP along with the Garden Meadow Bundle. My bling is a few of the Brushed Brass Butterflies. Now let’s look at my second alternate card:

Here are the measurements:

  • Card base in Balmy Blue cardstock – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″, trimmed like a bridge card
  • Kit card base – 2 @ 4″ x 1 1/4″ and 1 @ 4″ x 3″
  • Window Sheet – 4″ x 3 1/2″
  • Basic White cardstock – 4 1/4″ x 4″

I decided to change up my bridge card and not include the bridge. lol When I started to create my card, I didn’t like the way the bridge covered the pattern of the kit card base, so I eliminated that portion and added a piece of Window Sheet. The Window Sheet is attached to the back of the two strips of card base and then attached to the Balmy Blue layers to create a card front. I used the wooden die cut, label and sequins from the kit and added another bow of that twine. The sentiment on the inside is from the Comforting Thoughts stamp set. I did change up the inside during my live, so be sure to watch the replay.
