Hey everyone! Happy Monday!! We’re back! If you happened to stop by over the weekend my site was down, but all is well in my little world on this Monday morning. I wanted to share a card I created and was going to share with you this past Saturday. It’s using that gorgeous DSP (Designer Series Paper) Magnolia Lane. Here are the dimensions for my card:
- Card base in Mossy Meadow, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Petal Pink cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP 2 pieces cut at 4″ x 1 1/2″
This is another one of my “made from scraps” cards, which is exactly why I never throw anything away!! 😛 After I pulled out all the pieces, I glued the two pieces of DSP at the bottom of the Petal Pink layer. I wanted a good size ribbon for my card, but since we don’t have any in Mossy Meadow at the moment, I made my own! I took a piece of leftover Metallic Edged Ribbon and colored it with my Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Marker. The Blends Markers are our version of alcohol markers and I just love them! They come in most of the exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors and there is a light and a dark version. Makes it super easy to coordinate! So once I colored the ribbon, I attached it over the seam of the top piece of DSP and then glued it all down to the card base. I cut out an oval and a small circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies in Whisper White card stock and a scalloped oval in Mossy Meadow cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set on the oval in Mossy Meadow ink and then attached it to the scalloped oval. I think that font in this set is so elegant. The stamp set itself is not in our Annual Catalog, but in our small brochure that has information for beginners. It coordinates with the Good Morning Magnolia set. I then attached it all to the card base with dimensionals. Next, I took the die from the Magnolia Memory Dies and cut out that beautiful bloom from another scrap of the DSP. I love having coordinating dies with our papers! I glued the circle to the card base and then added the bloom with dimensionals over that. Added some pearls and voila! Isn’t that a pretty card?!? And all from scraps!
