Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a good start! As many of you know, we were on vacation last week and it’s always hard to get back into the groove on your first day back, which is why this post is so late. I actually created this card during a Facebook live for a Stampin’ Up! Facebook Party for one of my lovely ladies. We used the Lovely As A Tree stamp set. I’m pretty sure everyone was in shock when this one hit the retiring list; after all, it’s been around for almost 18 years!! Here are the measurements for today’s card:

  • Card base in Mossy Meadow cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″

To create the image behind the tree, we actually stamp with one of our acrylic blocks. I used the “D” block and inked it in the Balmy Blue ink, spritzed some water on it and stamped it. What I love about this technique is every time you do this, all the cards turn out differently.Once the blue dried, I stamped the pine tree in Mossy Meadow. Then I stamped the sentiment (from the Well Said stamp set) on the bottom, also in Mossy Meadow ink. I adhered this layer to the Balmy Blue and added some Linen Thread by wrapping it around and taping it on the back. Then I adhered both layers to the card front. I added a True Gentlemen’s Button with a couple of Mini Glue Dots and then a bow of the Linen Thread also with a Mini Glue Dot a voila! All done!
