Hey everyone! Welcome to a new week! Are you ready for a little bit of spring? I know it’s been cold around here and some warm sunshine would be good right about now. Each month my team has some kind of creative challenge and this month it’s to create something with a spring theme. And this is my sample. The measurements are:
- Card base in Thick Whisper White cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Bermuda Bay layer cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and a scalloped square
- Naturally Eclectic DSP cut at 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″
I first stamped the sentiment from the A Good Day stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black in on the DSP, then adhered to the Bermuda Bay layer. Then I added a piece of the Bermuda Bay Sheer Ribbon from the free Sale-a-bration pack. I wrapped it around both layers and tied it in a bow in the middle and adjusted it towards the bottom of the layer. Then added all to the card front. Then I stamped the flowers, butterfly, and bunny from the Garden Girl stamp set and colored with my Stampin’ Blends Markers. I LOVE those markers!! To get the effect on the bunny’s tail, I first outlined with the Dark Smokey Slate marker, then colored in with the Light Smoky Slate marker. Then I took the Color Lifter and really lightened it up. I think he turned out so cute! Once I was done coloring, I added it to the scalloped square and then to the card front with dimensionals. I then added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and butterfly to get a shimmery effect. I love it!! Surprisingly enough I didn’t add any rhinestones! I know, shocking!! lol I can’t wait to to see what the others come up with! Here’s a close up of that cute little bunny:
