Happy Tuesday and what a Tuesday it is!! Today is not only the first CASE-ing Tuesday of the year, but Stampin’ Up! launched the new Jan. – April Mini Catalog, a new round of Online Exclusives, THREE new all inclusive Kits, a new Product of the Month, and Bonus Days are back! Isn’t that a cute card? We’re actually using that pack of DSP in my Card Club this month. My card this week uses both new Mini Catalog and Online Exclusives product.
I changed my take up a bit. I started with a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Balmy Blue for a typical card base and then trimmed off 2 3/4″ off the front. That gave me the 1 1/2″ side next to the fold. Then I cut a piece of the new Online Exclusives’ DSP, the Splash of Sparkles Specialty DSP and cut it to 4″ x 5 1/2″. This paper is sooooo pretty with all of the silver foiling on every sheet! I lined it up with the back side of the open card base, added adhesive to the 1 1/2″ flap and closed it to attach it to the DSP. Next, I took a scrap of foil and cut 2 pieces at 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and attached those at the seam of the DSP on both the inside and the outside of the card. I chose the new Joyful Squares Bundle out of the new Mini Catalog and die cut a scrap of Bubble Bath cardstock for my square. I then stamped the swirly square image in VersaMark ink on a scrap of white and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in Balmy Blue ink and fussy cut the square. I added it to the Bubble Bath square with dimensionals and then to the card front with more dimensionals. I tied a bow in the new Bubble Bath 1/8″ Faux Linen ribbon an attached with a Mini Glue Dot. Then I sprinkled on some rhinestones for more bling.
For the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the new Delicate Framing stamp set, one of the stamp sets from the November release of Online Exclusives, also in Balmy Blue ink. That inside layer measures 3 3/4″ x 5″. I then added the hearts from the Joyful Squares set in Bubble Bath ink. Doesn’t this make a perfect baby card?
I stamped those same hearts on my envelope flap. Remember, no naked envelopes!!
