Hey everyone. Wow! Has this been a Monday or what?!? I hope wherever you are, yours is going as well as can be expected. My heart hurts for Las Vegas. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved. My sister was supposed to go to that concert, but by the grace of God, she didn’t and I am thankful for that! So with all the emotions running through me on this, I had to escape for a little while and of course my escape is my craft room.
I know I should have been working on this week’s class, and that was my intent, but I just couldn’t do it. Instead, I lost myself in my scrapbooking. I don’t do this as often as I would like so that tells me I need to put a block of time on my schedule for just this! So what do you think of my page? When I look at these pictures, my heart just melts. This little guy is just the love of my life, lol next to my dear hubby of course. He came into our lives at just the right moment and is the most perfect little man to walk the planet. I know, every grandmother thinks the very same thing, but mine really is the best!! 😉
I started with a piece of 12×12 Night of Navy and the pack of Perfect Days Memories & More Card Pack. Yes, these cards are for our pocket protectors, but I wanted to create a traditional scrapbook page. These cards help you streamline not only your pages, but your time to create a page as well. I can remember spending 6 hours on a 2-page layout, but who has that time anymore? And I have to say, Stampin’ Up! really knows how to coordinate everything! The card pack coordinates with the Designer Series Paper, inks, and stamp sets. It really makes it so much easier to scrap. You get to spend more time creating then coordinating! This pack of cards coordinates with the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, which just happens to be on the Buy 3, Get 1 Free sale. And to make it even better? The coordinating stamp set, Oh So Eclectic is on the World Card Making Day sale!! I don’t have that set yet, but guess what I’m getting this week?!? lol
Back to the page….I cut a strip of the dsp at 3 x 12″ and added it to the bottom third of the 12×12 Night of Navy. I cropped my pictures then mounted them on some Emerald Envy cardstock. I took the sentiment card from the pack and washed on some Lemon Lime Twist and let that dry. Then I stamped on the swirl stamp from Timeless Textures in Night of Navy, added 3 of the enamel hearts in Night of Navy, and then mounted it on some more Emerald Envy. I adhered all 3 of these down on the page and added some of the stickers from the card pack. This took me all of about 10 minutes. So simple!! And see how it all coordinates?
Now that you see how adorable my grandson, er, my scrapbook page is, you know you want to get some of these items to add to your stash. ESPECIALLY since the Naturally Eclectic DSP is on sale!!
