Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I know it’s been really quiet around here the last 10 days or so….our house got hit by the flu bug. 🙁 Not a fun time at all! I was really hoping to miss that bullet, but was not that lucky. Oh well, we deal with what we can and move on from there.
I did want to share a quick card I made for a challenge. It’s using the new Picture Perfect Party DSP. It is such fun paper! So happy and bright. On one side it has actual pictures of things like bows or party hats, even some donuts, and then the other side has patterns printed on it in bright colors. If you’re in need of a quick birthday card, this pack of paper is perfect!! (hence the name!! lol) Here are the measurements of my card:
- Card base in Lemon Lime Twist cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Basic Black layer cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP layer cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
I adhered the DSP to the black layer, then both onto the card base. I had the word “Celebrate” cut out in black and the new Myth’s & Magic Glimmer Paper to use on another project, but never used them. I thought they went perfectly with the paper, so knew I could use them now. (See? never throw things away when you don’t use them!! lol) I used the Amazing You stamp set for the “Let’s” sentiment and stamped it in black. I glued the black “celebrate” to the back of the glimmer one to give it a shadow, added a couple of tiny pieces of dimensional to the back and added them to the card base. I had a double bow of black twine sitting on my desk and thought it pulled the black ribbons on the paper together, so added that with a mini glue dot and called it done. Everything on this card but the DSP were left overs on my desk from other projects, so it was a great way to clear the desk too! Gotta love it when a plan comes together!!
