Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! How is your week going so far? I know there was a lot of hoopla over yesterday’s announcements by Stampin’ Up!, but you know what? It’s all going to be okay! I know it can be tough when things change, but everything changes in life and we just have to roll with it! Yes, it’s going to be a little crazy for awhile, but we’ve been through it before and we all survived.  🙂 So let’s talk about today’s project. Here are the measurements for the card:

  • Card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Mossy Meadow cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Powder Pink cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″

A couple of weeks ago I was perusing Facebook and came across this color combo using the Crackle Paint stamp and fell in love with it! So I decided to use it today. I got out my Stamparatus and used it to stamp my background in Mossy Meadow ink on the Powder Pink cardstock. The Stamparatus really helps in stamping with those huge background stamps. Next, I glued the Powder Pink layer to the Mossy Meadow layer. I wanted to add some ribbon but didn’t have anything in Mossy Meadow…..so I created my own! I pulled out my Light Mossy Meadow Blends Marker and colored a piece of the Silver Edged Ribbon which is in white. It turned out perfectly! So I wrapped it around the layers and tied it in a bow. Next I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow and cut it out with one of the Layering Circles Framelits. It looked a little plain, so I stamped one of the small horses in Powder Pink ink at the bottom. I then cut out a coordinating scalloped circle in Silver Glimmer Paper to go with the silver on the ribbon and glued the two together with Mini Glue Dots.I added dimensionals and added it to the card front. Since I knew this card would be perfect for a girl, I colored some of our rhinestones with the Dark Mossy Meadow Blends Marker and added them to the card. Perfect!! Here’s a closer look at the sentiment layer.

Isn’t that cute?!? This is the first time I’ve used the Crackle Paint stamp, but you can bet it won’t be the last!! Now if you would like to order any of these items, especially some of the accessories for the soon to be retiring Stampin’ Up! Trimmer and Big Shot, you can shop at my online store here.
