Hey everyone!! Happy Saturday and happy last day of Sale-a-bration! I wanted to share a card I created for our monthly team creative challenge. This month’s theme was a kids’ card. I pulled out my Myths & Magic Suite of supplies and this is what I came up with. What do you think? That specialty DSP is gorgeous with all the glitter in the paper! Here are the measurements for this card:
- Card base in Fresh Fig cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Myths & Magic Specialty DSP cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
I love how everything coordinates, the cardstock, ink, specialty paper, glitter dots, all of it goes together so easily! Makes crafting so much fun when all the hard part is done for you. First I cut out my dragon using the Layering Circles Framelits and a coordinating scallop from the same framelits was used to cut the glimmer paper. I adhered them together with Mini Glue Dots. The glue dots are best when adhering anything to glimmer paper. Then I cut another piece of the glimmer paper and layered on the DSP, again with Mini Glue Dots. I had a scrap piece of the Basic Gray Shimmer Ribbon left over and tied it on the two layers, then adhered it all to the card front. I added some dimensionals to the back of the scalloped circle and added it over the ribbon. I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig ink, then cut it out using one of the Lots of Labels Framelits. When I went to add it to the card front, it was too big, so I trimmed about 1/4″ off the top and bottom and then added it to the card front with dimensionals. Turned out pretty good if you ask me.
