Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I wanted to share one last alternate from the May Paper Pumpkin Kit, a Kit in Color. I was very glad to have this kit as the ink spot is one of the new 2020-2022 In Colors, Misty Moonlight. In fact, the kit is based around all five of the new In Colors that are in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog hat went live on June 3rd. I loved everything about it from the adorable enamel shaped embellishments to the twine that is in Magenta Madness and White.
Here are the measurements for today’s card:
- Card base in Just Jade cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Magenta Madness cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Kit card base cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″, both front and back
I love it when I can use the entire card base for my alternates, then nothing goes to waste! This really is pretty quick and easy, as it’s just gluing the layers together. I got to try the new Stampin’ Seal today and I have to say, I really, really like it! I have heard others make comments that they have had issues with theirs, but if that is the case for you, just contact Stampin’ Up! and they will make it right. After I glued the two layers together, I added them to the card front. Next I took one of the labels from the kit and stamped the sentiment in Just Jade ink and the stars in Magenta Madness, which are two of the colors in the card base. I took the vellum tag from the kit and added it to the card front with a little of the Stampin’ Seal adhesive, then added the tag on top with dimensionals. I tied a double bow in that adorable twine and added it with a Mini Glue Dot. Added some of the embellishments and was done!
I love the brightness of these colors! For the inside I used the other half of the card base that I had trimmed. I stamped the sentiment, also from the exclusive stamp set, in Just Jade and the repeated the stars in Magenta Madness and then glued to the inside of the card.
This was such a fun kit!! If you’re not familiar with Paper Pumpkin, it is the subscription craft kit that comes to your mailbox every month for just $22.00, shipping included! It comes with an exclusive stamp set, one of our ink spots (colors are not repeated for 12 months) and all the supplies needed to complete the kit. You may need some extra adhesive if you don’t want to use just the Mini Glue Dots that are in the kit, but they even include dimensionals. It’s so much fun to get that Happy Box in the mail. The June kit is all about Sharing Sunshine.
Isn’t that bright yellow box pretty? It even includes a label so that once you made the cards, you can mail one or all plus some fun sunshine gifts to someone who needs cheering up. Today is the last day to subscribe to get that kit. If you would like to try it, just head over here to start your subscription. There’s no obligation, if you don’t like the first kit, you can cancel any time before July 10th so that you don’t get the next kit. Now is a good time to try it so you can share some sunshine with someone.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a great Wednesday and that you’ll come back tomorrow for another Facebook Live.
