Hello and welcome back! Today’s Facebook Live is all about the July 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit. I was going to share these last week, but we took Charlie to the movies that afternoon. When your 10-year old grandson asks to go on an adventure – how can you say no??? If you missed this afternoon’s Facebook Live, you can catch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here. While you are there, I would be so grateful if you liked and shared my video and subscribe to my channel! Let’s look at my scrapbook layout first.

Here are the measurements:
- Country Lace DSP – 12″ x 12″ Base
- Country Lace DSP – 12″ x 3 1/2″
- Country Lace DSP – 6″ x 10″
I created this layout based on a sketch from the Make it from the Heart sketch book by Close to My Heart. I really wish I had known they carried these before they went out of business. I love that they have not only the sketches, but there are cutting guides with measurements and sample layouts as well. Very cool!! My butterflies are in vellum with lots of Wink of Stella on them and were created with a retired punch and die set. I used one of the die cut layers from the Paper Pumpkin kit as well as one of the sentiment labels and stamp set. The title is in Blueberry Bushel cardstock to pick up the blue in my daughter’s dress and was die cut with the Mini Alphabet die. The layers are attached with Stampin’ Seal, the die cut and title with Multipurpose Glue and the sentiment label with dimensionals. I sprinkled on lots of the Adhesive-Backed Sequin Trio on my butterflies and on my layout. I really like how it turned out! Now let’s look at my first alternate card.

Here are the measurements:
- Card base in Mossy Meadow cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Petal Pink cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Card base from kit – 3 3/4″ x 5″ both front and back and 3 3/4″ x 1/2″ from the back
This kit card base that I used is the one that goes with the die cut used in my layout. I just love that I can extend my kits to be used with both cards and scrapbook layouts! The trimmed card front is layered onto the Petal Pink layer and before attaching it to the card base, I added a strip of the Petal Pink ribbon from the Petal Pink and White combo pack. I stamped my sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on the die label and added to the die cut strip from the kit and then both are added with the mini dimensionals from the kit. Then I sprinkled on some of the sequins that were included in the kit.

For the inside, I stamped my sentiment in Mossy Meadow on what would have been the inside of the card base and attached it to the inside of my card base. I added the strip to the bottom. I die cut the sentiment in Mossy Meadow with the coordinating dies for this quarter and attached it with Multipurpose Glue.

Isn’t that fun? When Stampin’ Up! released quarterly die sets for Paper Pumpkin kits, they hit it out of the park!! Now let’s look at the second card.

Here are the measurements”
- Card base in Melon Mambo cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ – trim 1″ off card front
- Kit card base – front trimmed to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and back trimmed to 3″ x 5 1/4″ and 1″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic White cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside
I wanted to create a simple fun-fold for the second card and I thought this fit the bill. After trimming all of my layers, I attached the smaller card back layer to the Melon Mambo card base. I attached the kit card front, only adding adhesive to the back of the left side to that it creates the card front. I added the strip from the kit and then the die cut with the flowers offset with some of the mini dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Gray Granite, the ink color of the kit, on the label and added it with more dimensionals. In the video I acutally used Melon Mambo ink which I thought looked even better. And of course, don’t forget your bling!

For the inside, I added the strip of card base to the right of the white layer and stamped my sentiment before adding it to the inside of the card. When the card is closed it all looks like the card front.

Isn’t that kit gorgeous? I am so sad I missed out on the refills! They sold out in minutes when they were released.
