Hello again! Welcome back to my little neck of the woods. If this is your first time visiting, be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the inky news around here. It’s time to play with the January 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit, the Hearts for You Kit. If you stopped by earlier this morning, you saw that I used some elements for my take on this week’s CASE-ing Tuesday card. If you missed that post, you can see it here.

So were you able to catch my Facebook Live this afternoon creating these three alternate cards? If not, you can watch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here. While you’re there, I would be sure to give my video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. Let’s take a look at my scrapbook layout first.

Here are the measurements:

  • White Willow cardstock base – 12″ x 12″
  • Melon Mambo cardstock – 12″ x 6″
  • Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP – 2 @ 12″ x 1/2″ and 2 @ 12″ x 1 1/2″
  • Kit card base – 5″ x 7″
  • Basic White cardstock – photo mats – 2 @ 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and 1 @ 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″
  • Early Espresso cardstock – photo mats – 2 @ 3″ x 4″ and 1 @ 4″ x 6″

I am still working on my album of our sweet Chloe girl, and I thought a kit all about love was perfect for a layout of her. I followed a sketch for my layout and just attached all my layers with Stampin’ Seal. The bottom 12″ x 1 1/2″ piece of DSP has a torn bottom, which was the only difference on the layers. For my title, I used the Nested Essentials dies for the base in Real Red and Basic White cardstocks and the letters are die cut in Early Espresso using the Mini Alphabet Die. The scalloped heart up in the corner was die cut using the add on die set, Spring isin the Air. I stamped the sentiment from the kit ine Real Red ink, which is the color of the ink spot. I also stamped the “you” from the kit on one of the banners also from the kit. The white hearts, the foil heart and Love, the journaling label, the heart embellishments and the red twine are all from the kit too. I really, really like the way my layout turned out. Let’s look at the first card:

I used a card base from the kit and simply trimmed 1″ off the edge. I then took the strip of die cut hearts from the kit and attached them at the bottom of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to give the look of a scalloped edge. The fun part of doing that is when you opem the card, you see hearts across the top. Next, I attached the 1″ strip on the bottom of the inside of the card so that when closed, it gives the effect of just a card front. I attached the foil die cut heart from the kit with the Mini Glue Dots from the kit. I then stamped the sentiment on one of the flagged labels from the kit and attached it with dimensionals. For bling, I brought in some of the Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins.

Then for the inside, I stamped the sentiments and called it done. I will be using the cute envelopes from the kit for all of my cards.

Let’s look at the second card.

I used another card base from the kit and then added a die cut scalloped heart using the Spring is in the Air die. The die cuts the scalloped edge as a separate piece, so I was able to use the leftover pieces from my layout for this card. I attached the heart to the card base with Seal and the scalloped edge with some Multipurpose Glue. I attached the foil adhesive outline from the kit to the pink die cut heart from the kit and then added it to the card with dimensionals. I tied a bow in the twin and added it with the Mini Glue Dot. I stamped the sentiment on the label and attached it to the card wit dimensionals then sprinkled on some of the heart embellishments.

For the inside, I just stamped the sentiments.

Now for card number three.

Here are the measurements:

  • Base in Real Red cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
  • Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP – 1 @ 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ and 1 @ 2″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″

I love this sweet & simple z-fold card! It makes the perfect card for the this layer from the kit. I attached the 1 7/8″ strip of DSP to the folded back card front. Next I added the foil “love” sticker from the kit to the heart and three of the heart sequins. I then added adhesive on the back of the left side only on the kit layer and attached it to the DSP to create the card front.

For the inside, I added the DSP to the right edge of the white layer and stamped the sentiment. The best part of the heart sequins is they are flat, so you can easily add them to the inside of a card, so I did!
