Hello again!! Are your ready for some more rock star goodies?? If you stopped by earlier this morning, you saw my take on this week’s CASE-ing Tuesday sample using the Rock Star Bundle. If you missed this morning’s post, you can see it here. And in case you missed my Facebook Live this morning, you can catch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here. Once you’re there, I would appreciate it if you gave my video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already.

Did you know we have even more rock star items in stock? Yes we do! The stamp set Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set that is in the Annual Catalog and the Rock Legend all inclusive kit. Here’s a look at what I created with them.

I only created one card this morning as I had an appointment and had to make this a quick video. Let’s look at my layout first.

Here are the measurements:

  • Base in 12″ x 12″ Basic Black – retired
  • Basic White cardstock – 2 1/2″ x 12″
  • Rock & Roll DSP 3/4″ x 12″, 6″ x 8″ and 1/2″ x 6″

I created the drum set strip by stamping the drum set from the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set in Memento. I attached all of the layers with Stampin’ Seal +. I stamped the microphone in Memento ink and colored with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker and then die cut it. I die cut another piece of the DSP and a scrap of Real Red using the large guitar pick die, attached them together with Seal + and added them to the base with Black Dimensionals. The sticks are from the Rock Legend Kit as are the red star embellishments. I stamped the You’re a Rock Star from the Rock Star Bundle and after die cutting it, added it with more dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment from the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set, punched it out with a retired 1 1/2″ circle punch and added it to a 1 3/4″ circle of Real Red. It’s added to the layout with another Black Dimensional. I then die cut a tag with the Tailor Made Dies, filled in my jornaling and added some of the Sweet Sorbet/White Baker’s Twine. I love hiding my journaling tag behind a layer!

Now let’s look at my card.

Here are the measurements:

  • Base in Pool Party Cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Cardbase from the kit – front and back trimmed to 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock – 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside

I love combining product from kits and the catalogs and these projects are do just that! For my card I decided to keep it close to the one in the instructions included in the kit. This kit actually doesn’t have any stamping, just printed sentiment labels, so using the Rock Star Bundle gives even more options for your cards. I started with my Pool Party card base and added the card front from the kit with Seal. I then added on extra layer from the kit and the vellum guitar pick with Seal and the guitar die cut from the kit with dimensionals. I stamped and die cut the sentiment and added it with more dimensionals. For my bling, I added some more of the Adhesive-Backed Lightning & Stars embellishments from the Mini Catalog. I love how retro this card looks!!

For the inside, I added the remaining piece of the kit card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set and 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of the Rock & Roll DSP to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White and attached it with more Seal.

The envelopes from the kit have coordinating liners, but I did add some more of the DSP to the envelope flap.

Let’s look at our second card.

Here are the measurements:

  • Card base in Basic Gray cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • Card base from Kit – 4 @ 1″ x 4″ and 1 @ 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
  • Basic White cardstock – 3 3/4″ x 5″

When I created the projects yesterday I was only going with the retro card. Well, that changed when I walked into the studio this morning….which is probably why I forgot my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine! lol Luckily everything is just across the room! All I did for this card was cut up the card base and attached the strips to the card front. I stamped the guitar from the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set in Basic Gray ink, color it with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers and punch it out with the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch….which I forgot too. LOL I attached it with Seal to the large vellum guitar pick from the kit and then added them to the card front with dimensionals. I added the sentiment from the kit, also with dimensionals and added some of the Adhesive-Backed Lightning & Stars embellishments.

For the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Rock Star stamp set in Basic Gray ink, added the strip with Seal and attached it to the inside.

I didn’t decorate an envelope, I’ll just use the one from the kit and maybe stampe something on the front.
