Hey everyone! Happy Monday!! I wanted to share a card I created for one of my sideline demonstrators. She just found out she is going to be a grandma to a baby boy. How exciting is that? I’ve been on a roll lately creating cards using our Memories & More cards, so I pulled out the Bundle of Love set. It really takes a lot of the designing aspect out of the equation if you are struggling with your mojo, but it also speeds up the process when you’re in a hurry. (and who isn’t in a hurry these days?) Here are the measurements of my card:
- Card base in Thick Very Vanilla cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Soft Sky panels cut at 4 1/8″ x 3 1/8″
That’s it! The cute cards are ready to adhere to the panels when you pull them out of the box. The nice thing about this card pack is it has both blue and pink of every card. And aren’t the baby elephant and pig just too stinkin’ cute?!? I stamped the Hello Baby from the Moon Baby stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, then I punched out the two balloons in Soft Sky and sponged on some Soft Sky ink to give them more definition. I wrote It’s a Boy! in Dapper Denim so it would have some good contrast. I am going to miss that In Color when it retires. (Fyi…if you own any of the 2016/2018 In Colors, Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach or Sweet Sugarplum, you need to get any of the coordinating items soon. Once Stampin’ Up! releases the retiring list, those items fly off the shelf!) Once I sponged the edges of the balloons, I added a couple of Mini Glue Dots to the back and added some Linen Thread for the strings. Then I adhered them to the card front with dimensionals. I rolled up a Mini Glue Dot and added it to the elephant’s trunk and secured the ends of the thread to it so that it looked like the elephant was holding the balloons. Then I tied a couple of double bows in the thread and adhered them to the base of the balloons. I adhered the two cards to the Soft Sky panels, then added them to the card front. I added to of the Glitter Enamel Dots that matched perfectly and voila! A cute baby card! It only took about 10 minutes to create it, if that long. I love how it turned out!!
