Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! How was your weekend? It was a very busy one for me. Friday night we had our monthly hostess club workshop, which is always a lot of fun. Then Saturday I was at the Happy Valley Fall Festival. It was the first one for this small community, but it was pretty busy. Here’s a look at some of the pictures I took from the weekend.
Met some very nice people throughout the day and had a pretty successful day in sales. The weather was gorgeous, at least what I could see as the door was right across from me. I was able to get out for a bit between the crowds. Then when I got home we got this little cutie patootie for the night.
So by the time Sunday afternoon rolled around, I was a train wreck!! lol But you know what? I wouldn’t trade this life for all the money in the world!!! I am so blessed in every aspect of my life and with Thanksgiving just a day away, I have to share my gratitude with everyone. Which is why I’m sharing this card. I am casing a card from the training group that I belong to, and the sentiment is exactly how I feel!!
The measurements on the card are:
- Card base in Thick Whisper White is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Color Theory Designer Series Paper cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic Black cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 1/8″
- Whisper White cut at 3 3/8″ x 4″
I stamped the lilies from the Remarkable You stamp set in the Memento Black ink so I could color with the Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blends markers. Then I stamped the sentiment in the same ink onto the bottom right of the DSP. The sentiment actually says “And I’m So Grateful For You”, but I masked the and with some tape before stamping. I then added it to the Basic Black mat and then added the ribbon at the top and tied a knot. I adhered the DSP to the card base, added dimensionals to the back of the black mat and added it to the top of the DSP. Then I sprinkled on some the black rhinestones and it was finished. I really hope the black rhinestones make it into the next annual catalog, because I really do like them.
So are you ready to begin the cooking marathon also known as Thanksgiving? Well, ready or not, here it comes. I’ll be cooking for at least 15, and possible 18, so it’s going to be pretty quiet around here. I want to thank you so much for always stopping by my little corner of the world. If you see something in today’s project that you can’t live without, please be sure to head over to my online store here to order your supplies. Remember that our Online Extravaganza is going on right now and there’s some pretty awesome deals on it. When you place an order using Hostess Code W6U4CHF7 and place a $35.00 order before tax and shipping, I’ll send you a package of handmade cards. If your order is $50.00 or more, I’m going to include some Black Baker’s Twine, Rhinestones and access to an exclusive online class. It’s almost Black Friday, so we have to do it up big around here!!
With the holiday and family here at my house this week, there won’t be a Fabulous Friday, but I should be back on Monday. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of family, friends and food! Thank you again for stopping by!!
