Hello again!! Hope your Tuesday is going well. I’m back with more Ice Cream Swirl fun! In case you missed my CASE-ing Tuesday card this week using this same bundle, just head over here to see this morning’s post. I thought my card looked pretty tasty!! Today’s Facebook Live was all about this bundle with two more cards, both fun folds and an adorable scrapbook layout. If weren’t able to watch it live, you can catch the replay over on my YouTube Channel. If you like my video, please be sure to subscribe to my channel.

So how fun is this bundle? I love everything about it! And we all have those ice cream photos that we need to scrap and this bundle is the perfect stamp and die cut bundle to create fun layouts. Let’s look at mine:

Here are the measurements:

  • Base in Basic White cardstock – 12″ x 12″
  • 2″ strips in Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lolly cardstock
  • 2″ strips in Lighter Than Air DSP
  • 1/2″ and 3/4″ strips in Lighter Than Air DSP
  • 1 1/2″ strip in Balmy Blue cardstock
  • Photo mat in Azure Afternoon cardstock – 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″

One of the things I really love about the dies in this set is that the ice cream can be cut out as one large image and a swirl image. If you’re not into coloring these two dies will be your best friends! lol I created it in all Basic White as my grandson, pictured in the photo loves vanilla ice cream. The circle of DSP is cut with one of the Deckle Circle dies. The sentiments are stamped in Azure Afternoon ink and the journaling was written with the Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Write Marker. This layout was the perfect way to use up scraps. Plus, since the DSP is a 6″ x 6″ pack, you can add the layers with space between them and hide it with other elements to give it the illusion of 12″ layers. I had so much fun creating this layout! Let’s look at our first card:

  • Card base in Azure Afternoon cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″, trim off 3 1/4″ of card front at the score line
  • Lighter Than Air DSP – 2″ x 4″ for front, 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside and 1″ strip on the envelope
  • Lemon Lolly cardstock – 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Basic White cardstock – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ for inside

Both of today’s cards are fun folds. This one is the perfect way to use up scraps too! I started with my card base and then cut down the score line 3 1/4″ and then over to create a flap for the card front. I added the DSP to the flap and to the inside of the card. I then sponged on some Lemon Lolly ink around the edges of the Lemon Lolly layer and stamped the sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink. I added adhesive to the bottom of the layer and attached it to the card front. Next I stamped the cone on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock and die cut it. The die actually created a shaped card, so I just cut it at the score line. I then die cut a scrap of Basic White for the ice cream and Lemon Lolly for the swirl and assembled everything with some Multipurpose Glue. It is added to the card front with dimensionals and I sprinkled on some of the Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots for my bling. I think you can almost taste the flavor of lemon with this card!  😉

For the inside, I sponged on more Lemon Lolly ink on the white layer and then stamped my sentiment. It’s attached with Stampin’ Seal. You can see how the card front really looks in this shot.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! Even a strip of DSP on the flap works!

On to the second card. This is such a fun little card! The kids will surely love getting an ice cream card from you! And it fits into one of our Medium Envelopes!

  • Base in Crumb Cake cardstock die cut
  • Ice cream die cut in Basic White and Early Espresso cardstocks
  • Sentiment tag – 1″ strip of Basic White and flagged with Banners Pick a Punch

One of the dies in the set can be added to the cone die to create the texture of a cone that is die cut into the base and that is what I used for this card. I used white and brown to create the illusion of a fudge ripple ice cream. I think it worked pretty well, don’t you agree? I assembled the ice cream with Multipurpose Glue and attached it to the cone with more glue. I stamped the cherry in Memento Ink and colored it with Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink and the Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends Markers. The little bit of stem showing was colored with a Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink, flagged and then added with a little bit of Seal and more of the those dots for bling.

For the inside I just stamped my sentiment right on the card base as I think it would have been too hard to create a white layer for it.

And another sentiment stamped on the envelope since I wasn’t using any DSP.

Isn’t that a fun stamp and die set? And even though that DSP is goes with the Hot Air Balloon Bundle, it works perfectly with the ice cream! Gotta love all of that coordination! And the Boho Blue Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is still available. If it’s something you’d like to add to your stash, it is Item 161104. You shop all of the products used today on my online store here.
