Happy National Scrapbook Day!! I hope you were able to play today and I wanted to share one of the things I created. After creating my see through card last Thursday, I couldn’t stop playing with the Hues of Happiness DSP. Sooooo, what do you do on NSD? Create a layout of course!
Aren’t those colors gorgeous? And it was such a fun layout to create! Here are the measurements of my layout:
- Hues of Happiness DSP 12″ x 12″
- Basic Black photo mat cut at 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″
- Basic White cardstock 2 cut at 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
I started by choosing my picture and then added it to my black mat. I then chose my DSP to use as my base and then begin die cutting the flowers and leaves from the paper and set them aside. I die cut the strip of Basic White and added it behind the photo with some Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I added some of the new Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon to the corners by adding adhesive to the back and just pressing the ribbon into it and then attached it all to the base page. I then layered all of the flowers and leaves with more Stampin’ Seal to opposite corners. For my title, I die cut the oval frame from the new Fabulous Frames die set in Basic Black and Basic White scraps. I stamped one of the flowers from the stamp set in Memento ink and colored them with the Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers and then added the frame with dimensionals. For my bling, I sprinkled on some of the coordinating Glossy Dots.
Didn’t that turn out cute? I really think this is one of my favorite suites from the new catalog!! I hope you had a chance to play and if you like any of the product I used today, you can shop my online store here. Have a great evening!
