Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday! If this is your first time here, welcome! Please be sure to join my email list to get your free tutorial. Are you ready for another look at the His Grace stamp set? I think this has to be one of my favorites! Do you ever get that OMG moment when you create something? This one was mine!! The DSP is stunning to begin with, but add in that cross with the Wood Textures DSP…swoon!! Here are the measurements for the card:
- Card base in Fresh Fig cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Petal Promenade DSP cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 1/2″ x 4″ for the inside
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″ for the inside
This is definitely one of those sweet and simple cards, and it was made from all scraps!! Woo hoo!! I had this picture in my head of using one of our purple colors with a doily…and as you can see, that didn’t happen! When I came across this scrap of the marble with Fresh Fig veins, that was my “oh yeah” moment! I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig ink on the bottom right hand corner and adhered the layer to the card front. Next I cut the cross out of another scrap of the Wood Textures DSP and added a piece of the Linen Thread to look like rope. I used a drop of Fine Tip Glue to hold it down. Then I trimmed little strips of dimensionals for the back of the cross and adhered it to the card front. That was it for the front! Look at the close up, isn’t that stunning? Looks like real marble!!
Then for the inside I added a strip of the same dsp to the inside layer and stamped the sentiment using Fresh Fig ink again and glued it down.
I LOVE this card!!! This is the perfect example of simple stamping!! What do you think? Sadly all three of these papers are retiring. The Fresh Fig was a 2017/2019 In Color, the Wood Textures DSP was actually a carry over from 2017, which has never happened before. I was hoping to get another year out of it as I use it all the time. And the third, Petal Promenade, I knew would only last a year. It really is gorgeous paper. If you would like to order any of these items, just head over to my online store to shop. When you shop and use Hostess Code YBAMEJ9U, I’ll send you a pack of handmade cards. Who knows, this one could be in it! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great Wednesday!
