Happy Thursday!! I hope your week is going well. We’ve had some beautiful weather around here, but the heat is coming back. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for fall! We are in the final weeks of Sale-a-bration and Stampin’ Up! has added some Annual Catalog items that you can now get for FREE with a qualifying order and I am showcasing two of those products today; the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and the Brushed Metallic Cardstock. Were you able to watch my Facebook Live for today’s project? If not, you can catch the replay on my YouTube Channel here. While you are there, I would love it if you could give my video a thumbs up and if you aren’t a subscriber, please be sure to do so this morning. Let’s look at today’s card:
Here are the measurements for today’s card:
- Tahitian Tide card base cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Early Espresso cardstock cut at 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Brushed Metallic cardstock in Bronze cut at 2″ x 5 1/2″, embossed
I love it when Stampin’ Up! adds Annual Catalogs to the SAB program. And since the weather has been starting to cool off, I thought, let’s play with pumpkins! I knew I was going to use the Brushed Metallic cardstock, so I went with one of my favorite color combos, turquoise and brown! I cut and embossed my piece of foil and layered it on the Early Espresso piece and then added both to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. I made sure to leave enough room for my sentiment, that is stamped in Early Espresso ink. Next I stamped the pumpkin and flowers images in Early Espresso on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, and colored them with the Tahitian Tide, Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers. Next I die cut them both and added them to the card front with Black Dimensionals. These come in handy when you’re using dark colors. I added a bow in Very Vanilla Twine and some Champagne Rhinestones. As an afterthought I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers. It was a new pen and dripped on one of the flowers, but I was able to spread it around.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso, as well as the decoration, but that is stamped off.
For my envelope, I just stamped the flowers again. I didn’t color them, but you definitely could to match the card.
So what do you think? I really like the way it turned out. Are you ready to add any of these items to your stash? If so, head over here to my online store.
