Hello and happy Wednesday! If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list! I hope your week is going well. I wanted to share another project with the Harvest Hellos Bundle. Such a fun bundle!! Here are the measurements for today’s card:
- Card base in Poppy Parade cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Brights DSP cut at 3″ x 4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″
I have to say coloring these images was good therapy today! I started by stamping the images in Tuxedo Black ink so that I could color with my Stampin’ Blends Markers, our alcohol markers. I love coloring anyway, but using these markers makes coloring so effortless. I started with the Poppy Parade combo markers for the apple and used the Granny Apple Green combo for the leaf and the Dark Soft Suede for the stem. For the slice I started by shading the lines with the Ivory Blends Marker, but thought that was too dark, so I colored the rest of the flesh with the Light Petal Pink. I brought in the Color Lifter to lighten it a little. Then I colored the seed with the Dark Soft Suede. I punched out the apple pieces and cut out the slice with my Paper Snips. Next I took a piece of the Brights DSP in the Poppy Parade color and wrapped a piece of the Magnolia Lane Combo Ribbon around it and glued the layer to the card base. Next I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on the bottom right hand corner of the Whisper White layer and added it to the card front with dimensionals. I assembled the apple pieces with Mini Glue Dots and added it to the card front with dimensionals and the slice just layering it over the bottom of the apple. I had a bow of the same ribbon sitting on my desk, so I added that with a Mini Glue Dot to finish everything off.
